Born and raised in Detroit, Chris Camper’s interest in the law was sparked by the famous TV attorney, Matlock, who he watched as a seventh-grader at Edgar A. Guest Middle School. He played little league football for the Dragons of the Police Athletic League. He attended Thomas M. Cooley High School, where he captained the football team, was the Vice-President of the National Honor Society, and was named Prom King, graduating in 2001.

He attended Grand Valley State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies in 2005. He went on to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2010. While attending UDM Law, Chris was awarded the prestigious Book Award for his efforts in the Trial Practice course. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2010, after passing the Bar exam on his first attempt. Chris specializes in personal injury cases arising out of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and other acts of negligence.

Inside the courtroom, he has earned a reputation as a tough negotiator who fights diligently for his clients. It just means “more” to him. Chris’ upbringing has instilled in him a compassion that compels him to “pay it forward.” As such, outside the courtroom, he is a member of non-profit organizations geared toward goal-setting and personal development for inner-city youth.
